Find out all about us by reading our latest review!!! One of Toronto’s slickest and most theatrical sketch group – Shame is Right! is always writing and preparing for their next full length show. The ensemble – Amanda Barker(The Second City), Dale Boyer(24U2C), Trevor Martin (Evil Dead the Musical), and Marco Timpano(Vito Cazzulungo’s Lucky 13 Cabaret) – create shows that are as visually dynamic as they are smart. Sketch comedy that spares its audience of trite content or sophomoric gags, Shame Is Right! is notably more edgy than most sketch or theatre that dares make the claim. Called “Exquisitely Risqué ” by Blog Toronto, Shame Is Right! takes its audience to the places that make us all ashamed – from Afghanistan to Woodbridge – and creates “In your face, off-the-wall and straight out of left field Canadian Humour. This is comedy that leaves your appendix aching while you’re simultaneously hating yourself for even laughing” (Brian Firth, The Mike Newspaper). “We don’t worry about making our comedy palatable” Says troupe member Marco Timpano. “In fact some of the most bitter pills make for the best, and funniest, medicine – our audiences want to feel shame”. The cast came together nearly by accident May 2006 and, within 2 weeks; put together a show that rendered select audience members incontinent. When the cast decided to write a new and more shameful show September 2006 – The Diesel Playhouse was quick to get on board. Now, they have just finished their third self produced show this last April 2007.
