Amanda Barker
An award winning writer, actor, director, and producer, east coaster Amanda took her English and Drama degree from Mount Allison and moved to Toronto to become “Diamond” for the Toronto Blue Jays - MLB’s only female mascot. She is known for her guest and co-starring roles in various series including: The Handmaid’s Tale (HBO/Hulu), American Gods (Starz/Lionsgate), Ginny and Georgia, Paper Year (Netflix), Designated Survivor (ABC), Frankie Drake, Get Set for Life (CBC), Bajillionaires, Star Falls (Family Channel/NBC), Saving Hope (CTV), Dino Dana (Nickelodeon/TVO), Odd Squad (PBS), Good Witch and The Case for Christmas (Hallmark). You can also see her in the queer series A Gay Victorian Affair (for which she won a 2019 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Actress). She toured the runaway hit SPANK! A 50 Shades of Grey Parody from 2012-2015 and performed in theatres across North America, Off Broadway, and as part of Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival. The performance garnered her 3 Broadway World awards; Nashville’s “Best Actress”, Toronto’s “Best Supporting Actress” & Denver’s “Best Colorado Debut”. She has performed in seasons for several Canadian theatres including Theatre New Brunswick, Magnus Theatre, Theatre Sudbury, and Theatre Northwest. She also performed in “The Best of the Second City” across Canada and on ships for Norwegian Cruise Line. In the world of radio, she is a co-host on “Funny 820 AM”’s Humble and Fred Morning Show across Southern Ontario and an ongoing contributor for CBC’s The Current. She is also an accomplished writer/performer having written plays and musicals that have toured Canada and the US (Little Black Dress, Spank Harder!, Release the Stars: The Ballad of Randy and Evi Quaid, Clotheswap); is a contributor to Chatelaine, Food and Drink, and Toronto Life magazines. Amanda’s play “Release the Stars: The Ballad of Randy and Evi Quaid” garnered international attention when the play’s subjects unexpectedly became part of the show at The Toronto Fringe in 2012. That piece went on to be an official selection at Stratford’s Spring Works Festival after its NEXTSTAGE run in 2014. In April, 2018, she performed in the premiere of her co-written musical “Little Black Dress” at the Straz Centre for the Performing Arts in Tampa, Florida which then went on to tour for two years, stopping only due to the Covid Pandemic. Her scripts have been featured at the Canadian Association for Theatre Research Conference American Society for Theatre Research, American Theatre Magazine. With Dale Boyer she penned “Together for the Holidays with CHFI 98.1 FM”; where they also wrote banter for artists like Sarah McLachlan, Johnny Reid, Holly Cole and more. They also co-created “Clotheswap”, named one of NOW Magazines Top Ten Shows of the Toronto Fringe - www.clotheswapshow.ca. She wrote and performed in four Second City Mainstage shows where she was nominated for a Dora Award and won a Canadian Comedy award for best Sketch Show. A Drama/Speech Communication graduate of the University of Waterloo, Dale settled in Toronto just to fly off to Comedy festivals like the Los Angeles Comedy Festival, Chicago Improv Festival and back to Toronto for Just for Laughs and the Toronto Sketchfest. Comedy, improv and sketch credits include: Shame is Right (Steamwhistle award of merit), Faking Bad (Canadian Comedy Award Nomination), Showgame, Monkey Toast, The Arkin and dozens more.A few TV and FIlm credits include: Workin’ Moms (Netflix original/CBC), Nurses (Global), How to Buy a Baby (Gem/CBC) Suits (Showcase), Bajillionaires (Family Channel) Odd Squad (PBS), Man Seeking Woman (FX) and Sunset Channel a short film currently in the festival circuit. Upcoming appearances...in eep! I’m not allowed to say. A huge career highlight was co-writing and ultimately performing in the official adaptation for George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead Live that went on to win 5 Broadway World Awards including Best Play and Best Actress for Dale. Trevor is a Canadian Comedy Award winning writer and actor. A drama graduate from the University of Waterloo, with his writing partner Christopher Bond, he has written and developed the hit stage shows “Night of the Living Dead Live” (2013 Broadwayworld.com Award Winner for Best Play & Best Ensemble), and “Cannibal, The Musical” (2016 Canadian Comedy Award Nominee for Best Comedy Show.) He also co-wrote two award winning feature films: “Patch Town” (Best Feature Canadian Filmmakers' Festival) and “A Little Bit Zombie” (Canadian Comedy Award for best screenplay, Best Feature Canadian Filmmakers' Festival). Trevor is an award winning actor and comedian who has appeared in film, television, and on dozens of commercials. Stage credits include the Toronto and Just For Laughs casts of Evil Dead, the Musical;Night of the Living Dead Live; Just For Laughs All Star Galawith John Cleese; and the Canadian National tour of Stephen Harper the Musical. Marco Timpano
Marco is Creative Director at Drumcast Productions and is the producer and director of three successful and multi-award nominated podcasts. Marco holds a B.A in Journalism and Linguistics, and has positioned his skills as a journalist to the landscape of podcasting. Combining his love of broadcasting with his dread of sleeplessness, he created the only Canadian podcast dedicated to sleep; The Insomnia Project. This podcast has quickly become a fan favourite with over a million listens, helping to put the nation to sleep one episode at a time. Marco continued to develop, direct and host other podcasts including the Canadian Podcast Award and Canadian Comedy Award nominated Every Place is the Same alongside celebrated Canadian playwright Danielle Vlaskalic. His podcasting notoriety has lead him to become a key-note speaker on Digital Literacy most notably for the Water Public Library’s fundraiser “After Hours”. He is sought out by podcasters across Canada which is why he penned the book “25 Things I Wish I Knew Before I Started My Podcast” - which will have its launch in May. Along with his success in podcasting Marco is an award winning actor and writer - winning a Canadian Comedy Award for his writing and performance in “One Woman Show”.
